Common questions

How do I mark a day?

Tap Mark the day on the Boards screen and pick a mark for each board, or open a board and tap the piece of the day. You can change or clear a mark at any time.

Can I fill in a day I missed?

Yes. Open the board and tap that day's piece. Days in the future can't be marked.

How do I add a widget?

Touch and hold an empty spot on the Home Screen, tap Edit → Add Widget, find Checkaday and choose a size. Touch and hold the widget and tap Edit Widget to pick a board. The app also shows these steps in Settings → Widgets on the Home Screen.

How many boards can I have for free?

Up to three boards running at once. Boards that have ended or that you archived don't count. Checkaday+ removes the limit.

How do I restore Checkaday+ on a new iPhone?

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Checkaday. Checkaday+ stays active until the end of the paid period. See Apple's guide: support.apple.com/118428.

What happens to my boards if Checkaday+ ends?

Nothing is deleted. Your boards, marks, notes and photos stay; Checkaday+ features lock until you subscribe again.

My boards are missing on another device

Boards sync through iCloud. Check that both devices use the same Apple Account and that iCloud is on for Checkaday in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud. Syncing can take a few minutes.

How do I change the app's language?

The app follows your iPhone's language. To use a different one just for Checkaday, open iOS Settings → Apps → Checkaday → Language. If there is no Language option, add a second language in iOS Settings → General → Language & Region first.

I don't get reminders

Check that the daily reminder is on in Settings → Reminder and that notifications are allowed for Checkaday in iOS Settings → Notifications. Focus modes can also hide them.

How do I change the first day of the week?

Settings → Appearance → First day of the week.

How do I delete a board?

Open the board, tap the menu and choose Delete board, or use Edit board → Delete board. This deletes its marks, notes and photos on all your devices. If you only want to hide it, archive it instead.

I'd like a new picture or template

We'd love to hear it. Use Settings → Contact us → A board you'd like and attach a picture you like — a drawing or a photo of a paper tracker.
