Checkaday

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

In short: Checkaday has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your boards, marks, notes and photos stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, where we cannot see them. The only personal data we ever receive is what you send us by email.

Who is responsible

The controller of personal data for the Checkaday app and this website is Rabchun Maryia, reachable at [email protected].

What the app does not collect

Data that stays with you

Purchases

Checkaday+ is sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. The app only checks with Apple, on your device, whether you have Checkaday+.

When you email us

If you contact support, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. When you write from Settings → Contact us in the app, the draft also contains the app version, iOS version and your language and region setting, which you can see and delete before sending.

We use this only to answer you and fix problems, on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing support (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep support emails for up to 24 months, then delete them. Our email is received through Cloudflare Email Routing and stored in our mailbox provider (Google).

Cloudflare and Google may process this email outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Those transfers rely on the safeguards the two providers offer under the GDPR: the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and their certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. No other personal data leaves your device or your iCloud account.

This website

This site uses no cookies. It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages; like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the page and protect it from abuse.

To see how many people visit the site, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views without cookies or local storage and without fingerprinting, does not follow you across other websites, and shows us only aggregated numbers such as visited pages, referring sites, countries and device types. We cannot identify individual visitors. We use it on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare may process this data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards described above.

Children

Checkaday is a general journaling app and does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Your rights

If you live in the European Economic Area, the UK or a country with similar laws, you can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you (in practice, support emails), to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy of it. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; in Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

To delete your data, delete boards in the app (the board menu or Edit board → Delete board). To remove everything, delete the app and its data in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Checkaday.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
